TradeTrace (“we”, “us”) operates a trade journaling and analytics service. This Privacy Policy describes what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we use it. By using TradeTrace, you consent to the practices described here.

2. Data We Collect

We collect the following categories of data:

• Account information: Email address and account credentials required to create and maintain your account.
• Trading records you upload: CSV files you import (trade history, order history, transaction history, position history). This data is used solely to provide analysis and review features within your account.
• Usage data: Technical logs necessary to operate, monitor, and improve the Service (e.g., page views, error logs).

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

• Provide and operate the TradeTrace Service
• Generate behavioral analysis and review summaries from your uploaded trading records
• Maintain account security
• Improve the Service (aggregated, anonymized usage data only)

We do not use your trading data to generate investment advice, trading signals, or recommendations for any party.

4. Data Storage

Uploaded files are stored using Cloudflare R2 object storage. Relational data (accounts, trades, analysis results) is stored in a Neon PostgreSQL database. Both services are operated in accordance with their respective security standards.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data or trading records to third parties. We may share data only with service providers necessary to operate TradeTrace (e.g., cloud infrastructure providers), and only under strict data processing agreements.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. Upon deletion, your uploaded files and trading records will be removed from active storage. See our Contact page to make a request.

7. Cookies and Tracking

TradeTrace uses session cookies required for authentication. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the Service. Continued use of TradeTrace after changes constitutes acceptance.
